My commute gives me opportunity to pass no less than four Casey’s going in one direction. I passed the first, and couldn’t resist the second. Casey’s #888 at the interaction of Mount Vernon Road and Highway 13 is convenient enough when passing southward on 13 or east on MVR.

I went to grab a slice of breakfast pizza at 7:35. There were a few slices from the morning’s first pies and I was willing to help clean them out. I saw bacon and sausage, with only a moment’s indecision before I decided which way I wanted to eat a pig.

BACON IT IS!

Plenty warm, but a little overcooked, and starting to dry out from being in the rotisserie too long. Not too greasy, and the crust was decent, but hadn’t raised quite enough. Whatever, it’s greasy cheesy breakfast.

When “taco”ed, for better high speed eating and driving maneuvers, the toppings and cheese quickly separated from the crust. Not too much cheese sauce, so lap spill factor was minimal. Can’t say the same for bacon bits stuck in my beard.

It did minimal grease dripping. I didn’t do my usual dab of the napkin before leaving the store, so all considered it was low on the grease scale.

I noticed that the “expire time” was 7:50, only 15 minutes from when I put it out of it’s dry pizza misery. Not sure yet when the ideal time to get a fresh slice is, or if it is regular, but I’ll keep collecting data until we can solve this age old mystery of the caseyverse!
